Allied health accountants for the practice behind the care.
A full appointment book does not always mean healthy practice finances. EEA Advisory helps physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, speech pathologists, dietitians and other allied health professionals keep their books, payroll, tax and cash flow organised. Work with our Capalaba team in person or online across Australia.

Your clinical work is clear. The practice numbers should be too.
- Payments arrive through several channels, but your bookkeeping does not show what has been earned, collected or left outstanding.
- Staff wages, practitioner payments and superannuation take time to reconcile, especially as the team grows.
- You can see a busy calendar, yet you cannot tell whether the practice has enough cash for tax, wages and the next equipment purchase.
- We bring the day-to-day records and forward planning together. The aim is a dependable view of practice performance, with tax and reporting handled on a timetable you understand.
Accounting built around how an allied health practice runs.
The scope depends on whether you work alone, share rooms or employ a clinical and administration team. We can support private practices, multidisciplinary clinics and practitioners who also provide NDIS services, without treating every funding or billing arrangement as identical.
Practice bookkeeping
Keep bank transactions, expenses, equipment purchases and practitioner receipts reconciled. We set up useful categories so the accounts show how the practice is performing, not just whether the bank balance is positive.
BAS and GST review
Prepare reconciled activity statements and review how different services and purchases are coded for GST. The treatment of a health service depends on the service and its circumstances, so we check it rather than assume every receipt is the same.
Payroll and superannuation
Help with payroll records, Single Touch Payroll and superannuation for reception, administration and clinical employees. We review the way the practice records its staff and practitioner payments before setting up a repeatable process.
Practitioner payment records
Separate room fees, service fees and practitioner payments in the accounts where the practice model calls for it. Clear records make reconciliations, tax work and discussions about contractor arrangements easier.
Receipts and debtors
Bring private payments, health fund receipts, Medicare claims and NDIS income into a reporting process that fits the services you actually provide. See what is still outstanding before it becomes a cash flow problem.
Practice cash flow
Plan for quieter booking periods, wages, rent, equipment and tax payments. A simple cash flow forecast helps you decide when the practice can hire, invest or draw funds without relying on the diary alone.
Tax planning and returns
Prepare practice and personal tax work with a view of the full year. We review the structure, deductions and timing relevant to your circumstances, then explain the decisions before they are due.
Management reporting
Turn reconciled records into reports on revenue, costs, debtors and available cash. Practice owners can use the results to review capacity, pricing and growth with their adviser.

Questions we hear most often.
Have a question that is not here? Call 07 3399 2300 or book a consultation and we will answer it directly.
Which allied health professions do you work with?
We can support physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, speech pathologists, dietitians, podiatrists and other allied health providers. Tell us whether you work as a sole practitioner, contractor or practice owner so we can scope the accounting to your setup.
Can you help a sole practitioner as well as a larger clinic?
Yes. A sole practitioner may need clean bookkeeping, BAS and annual tax work. A clinic with employees or several practitioners may also need payroll, practitioner payment records, debtor reporting and regular cash flow forecasts. We agree on the work that fits your stage.
Are allied health services GST-free?
Some health services can be GST-free when the legal requirements are met, but the treatment depends on the service, provider and circumstances. We review the services you supply and how your billing system codes them before preparing your BAS.
Can you manage payroll and payments to contractor practitioners?
We help keep payroll and practitioner payment records clear and reconciled. Employee, contractor and service arrangement obligations can differ, so we review the facts and refer specialist employment or legal questions where needed.
What if our practice books are behind?
We begin with a file review to identify unreconciled transactions, missing records and reporting deadlines. From there we can agree on catch-up work and a manageable ongoing process before relying on the numbers for planning.
