Sound familiar?

Strategy without numbers is just an opinion.

  • You have a business plan but no one is testing it against the actual financials each quarter.
  • Decisions on hiring, pricing, and capital are being made on gut feel because the reporting is too late or too messy.
  • Your accountant prepares the tax return but never starts the conversation about where the business is heading.
  • We sit between your bookkeeper and your tax accountant, asking the questions a CFO would. The answers come from the same chartered accountants who already know your numbers.
What is included

Eight advisory levers, tailored to your stage.

Engagements are scoped to your situation. A start-up needs different conversations to a 20-year family business preparing for sale. We focus on the levers that matter most for your stage.

FAQ

Questions we hear most often.

Have a question that is not here? Call 07 3399 2300 or book a consultation and we will answer it directly.

What does a business advisor actually do?

A business advisor sits between your bookkeeping and your strategy, asking the questions your numbers are asking. Practically, that looks like cash flow forecasting, pricing reviews, capital decisions, KPI reporting, board packs, and growth or exit planning. The work is grounded in your actual financial position, not generic frameworks.

How is this different from a management consultant?

Management consultants typically deliver a project, hand over a deck, and leave. We become a standing fixture in your management rhythm, with the same chartered accountants who handle your tax and books contributing to strategic decisions. The advice is grounded in continuity, not a one-off engagement.

What size businesses do you advise?

Most of our advisory clients are owner-operated businesses turning over between $1m and $30m, with anywhere from a few staff to teams of 80+. Below $1m the conversation is usually fold-in with bookkeeping. Above $30m we may engage in a project-CFO capacity rather than as a permanent rhythm.

Do we have to switch our bookkeeping or tax to you?

No. Advisory engagements can stand alone. You may already have a long-standing tax agent or bookkeeper you trust. The benefit of bundling does come from one team having full context, but it is your call.

How often do we meet?

The most common rhythm is monthly for active growth or restructure phases, and quarterly for stable businesses with a clear plan. We adjust the cadence as the business changes. Between meetings we are available for short, ad-hoc questions.

Will you sit on my board or as a director?

We do not take board director seats, but we regularly attend board meetings as an external advisor or company secretary, and prepare board packs to a standard external stakeholders trust.

Ready for someone in the room asking the right questions?

Book a consultation. We will tell you honestly whether business advisory will move the needle for your situation, and what the engagement would look like if so.
