How we help

How we help medical and allied health.

Service trust arrangements reviewed
We assess whether your service entity or service trust is set up and run on a commercially reasonable basis, so it does its job and stands up to scrutiny.
Payroll tax risk addressed
Recent rulings have brought many practitioner payments into payroll tax. We review how your practice engages practitioners and help you understand and manage the exposure.
Structures that suit your income
We review whether your current setup, whether sole practitioner, company or trust, still suits your income, your risk and your goals, then implement any change properly.
Personal services income handled
Where the PSI rules apply to your earnings, we make sure income is attributed and deductions claimed correctly so your returns are right and defensible.
Tax planned for high earners
We forecast your position before year end and use the contributions, timing and concessions available, so a strong income does not become an avoidable tax bill.
Super and wealth kept on track
We help you make the most of concessional and non-concessional contributions and build a plan that turns a busy clinical career into long-term security.
FAQ

Questions we hear most often.

Have a question that is not here? Call 07 3399 2300 or book a consultation and we will answer it directly.

Is my service trust arrangement still appropriate?

It depends on how it is documented and run. We review whether your service entity charges on a commercially reasonable basis and is structured to do its job, then flag anything that needs tidying.

Do I need to worry about payroll tax on my practitioners?

Possibly. Recent rulings have brought many payments to contractor practitioners within payroll tax. We review how your practice engages practitioners so you understand and can manage the exposure.

What are the personal services income rules?

The PSI rules can limit how income earned mainly from your personal effort is taxed and what deductions you can claim. Where they apply, we make sure your returns treat the income and deductions correctly.

Can you help me get more into super tax-effectively?

Yes. We help you use concessional and non-concessional contributions, including catch-up amounts where available, and can set up and run an SMSF if you want greater control.

Keep more of what you earn.

Book a consultation and we will review your structure, your payroll tax position and your tax planning, then show you where the meaningful gains are.
